Freddy Peralta dominated with 10 strikeouts across six innings for his National League-leading 17th victory. Christian Yelich powered the offense with a home run and three RBI as the Milwaukee Brewers rolled past the Los Angeles Angels 9-2 on Tuesday night.

Peralta (17-6) gave up just two hits — a bloop single by Carter Kieboom and Denzer Guzmán’s first career homer — while walking two. The All-Star right-hander tied Yankees ace Max Fried for the most wins in the majors and matched Zach Davies’ 2017 mark for the Brewers’ single-season record.

Yelich got Milwaukee going with an RBI double in the first, then added a two-run homer in the fourth, his 29th of the season. Caleb Durbin, Andrew Vaughn, Jackson Chourio, and William Contreras (two RBI) also chipped in run-scoring hits, while Christian Moore went deep in the seventh.

Caden Dana (0-2) struggled in his second start for Los Angeles, allowing five runs on eight hits over 3 2/3 innings.

Kieboom debuted at first base for the Angels in his first MLB appearance since 2023, after being called up earlier in the day. Los Angeles placed shortstop Zach Neto (hand strain) on the 10-day injured list to make room.

Key Moment:

Yelich’s two-run shot in the fourth gave the Brewers a 5-1 cushion, putting the game firmly in Milwaukee’s control.

Key Stat:

Peralta struck out the side in three different innings and recorded his 15th career double-digit strikeout game — his first this season.

Up Next:

The series continues Wednesday with Angels right-hander José Soriano (10-10, 4.13 ERA) facing Brewers right-hander Brandon Woodruff (6-2, 3.32).
