FOCO released a new Los Angeles Angels bobblehead that features Nolan Ryan to celebrate his MLB-record seven no-hitters over the course of his Hall of Fame career.
Ryan spent eight seasons with the California Angels from 1972-79 and was one of the best pitchers in the world during this stretch. Four of Ryan’s seven no-hitters came with the Angels, his first being on May 15, 1973, and his second coming exactly two months later on July 15, 1973.

Also displayed is a record book that states “Most career no-hitters” with the entire bobblehead having a storybook theme to it.
Despite Ryan playing the majority of his career elsewhere, the bulk of his no-hitters and prime came with the Angels.
Ryan started 288 games as a member of the Angels and pitched 2,181.1 innings, giving him an absurd average of nearly 7.2 innings per start. He had a total ERA of 3.07 during that time with a 115 ERA+, a 2.94 fielding-independent pitching (FIP) and 2,416 strikeouts.
He was named an All-Star five times during his eight seasons with the Angels. He also finished top three in Cy Young voting three times, but did not win the award at any point during his career.
Outside of Anaheim, he played five seasons with the New York Mets, nine seasons with the Houston Astros and five seasons with the Texas Rangers. He is baseball’s all-time strikeouts leader with 5,714 for his career. He won the 1969 World Series with the Mets and made it back to the postseason only four other times during his career, once with the Angels and three times with the Astros.
He was a first-ballot Hall of Famer, receiving 98.8% of the vote share in 1999.
