The Los Angeles Angels’ Double-A affiliate Rocket City Trash Pandas unveiled new Halo Blue Uniforms that they will wear beginning with the 2023 season. It’s the first addition to the team’s uniform collection since its inception in 2020.

The new uniform pays homage to the Angels and the local aerospace community. The Trash Pandas will wear them for all Friday home games at Toyota Field during the 2023 season.

The blue color of the jersey and cap pays tribute to the thin blue layer of atmosphere that surrounds the earth from an astronaut’s perspective in space.

The jersey features “Rocket City” across the chest and numbers on the back in white, with each sleeve having a white stripe. It also has the Angels’ logo on the right sleeve.

The cap features the Trash Pandas’ white “RC” logo, which stands for Rocket City. The alternate logo consists of an “R” in the shape of a rocket, with the “C” representing a halo.

“It’s a different type of jersey, Trash Pandas first baseman Sonny DiChiara said in a statement. “This gives us something else to stand out. It’s cool to see them on the field and how it matches with the whole entire uniform.”

The Trash Pandas will debut their new uniform on Friday, April 7, 2023, when they host the Chattanooga Lookouts at Toyota Field.
